It's Sasquatch!

The Sasquatch 2008 line-up looks pretty darn good to me. But then it always does. Of course, I immediately used my little playlist-maker tool to make a Sasquatch Playlist for Windows Media Player.

I gotta get some sleep in prep for possible wisdom-tooth-outage tomorrow, but here are links to a few of the songs whose first notes will give me that little thrill at Sasquatch this year. I'll try to add more links when I'm all doped up tomorrow afternoon.

Rodrigo y Gabriela have come through Portland twice recently. I've gritted my teeth and saved my $15, but having been completely blown away by their performance on Letterman, I'm really excited to see them at a bang-for-the-buck festival like Sasquatch. Despite Gabriela's sweet face, I was not totally surprised to learn that they have metal roots.

Death Cab kicked ass last year! My wife freaked out when we discovered that The Kooks are going to be there this year. A while back (before they got really popular in the states), they were playing a show at some little club in Seattle for $10. On a Thursday. We were pretty disappointed that we couldn't go, so we're stoked to see them at Sasquatch this year.

I can't wait to go! As you said, the lineup is pretty darn good. -)

i don't know much about the kooks, but i have a few of their songs i'll be checking out soon. if it doesn't conflict with something you really want to see, i can't recommend ghostland observatory highly enough. their songs don't tell the whole story. they turned an empty field into an irresistible dance party last year.
