The Frames at Bumbershoot

The Frames
The Frames were all you'd expect of genuinely talented musicians performing live. They were great. Their last song followed a little pep talk about hanging in there, despite constant exhortation by the U.S. government to be very afraid. The song, "People Get Ready," was about having the love and time to overcome differences. Very nice, but he burst my liberal superiority bubble by dedicating the last verse to the people who used to live in Seattle. "What people?" I thought. Then he did a brief, very effective, rain dance.
